Does SQUID heat or cool the water?

No. SQUID only measures and doses water volume. It shows you the incoming water temperature on the screen, but it doesn’t heat or cool it. You’ll still use your normal setup (heater, mixing tank, etc.) to get water to the right temperature.

Can I use SQUID with well water or hard water?

Yes. SQUID is designed to work with typical farm water pressure and quality. Extremely dirty water or sand/grit in the line will shorten the life of any equipment, so a simple filter and basic maintenance are still recommended.

Is SQUID waterproof?

SQUID is rated IP64. That means it’s dust tight and protected from splashes and spray, but it should not be submerged or left sitting in standing water.

How long does the battery last?

Most farms can run multiple mixings per day for several days on a single charge, depending on how long you run water each time. When the battery runs low, plug it in with the included USB-C cable.

Can I still use my hose normally?

Yes. In Manual Mode you can run SQUID like a normal hose with a digital flow display. Or you can remove it and reconnect your hose fittings as needed.

Can SQUID be used outside the calf barn?

Many farms use SQUID anywhere they need accurate water volume—such as mixing large-animal electrolytes or other farm mixes. As long as you stay within the pressure range and protect it from full submersion, it can move around the farm with you.

Does SQUID work with an app?

Yes, SQUID can connect to the free Mixometer® app by Bluetooth for logging water volumes and batch details. The app is optional—SQUID works perfectly well on its own.
